正澳门六合彩官网 | Student Success

正澳门六合彩官网 has entered into a partnership with New England Law Boston that allows students of any major who meet the preferred admission criteria to enroll in the full or part-time New England Law Juris Doctor (J.D.) program.

Application fees will be waived for 正澳门六合彩官网 students who apply to New England Law, and a scholarship of at least $10,000 for the first year (renewable for the student’s remaining years with maintenance of a 2.5 GPA) will be provided to admitted students.

“This partnership is an excellent opportunity for our students who know they want to pursue law school,” said Professor Jennifer Balboni of the Criminal Justice and Sociology department, who was instrumental in facilitating the agreement. “This agreement between the two schools—including the guaranteed minimum scholarship-- provides a clear pathway for our strongest students to make law school attainable and affordable.”

For a student to be admitted to New England Law under the agreement, he/she must:

  • Hold a BA or BS from 正澳门六合彩官网 awarded within 3 years of the date of the student’s entry into the Law School, or be working towards such a degree that will be awarded prior to New England Law’s first year orientation program;
  • Have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA (as calculated by the LSAC) at the time of application;
  • Have a score of at least 150 on the LSAT exam taken no more than 5 years prior;
  • Include in application at least one letter of recommendation from a prelaw advisor or 正澳门六合彩官网 faculty member;
  • Meet all New England Law requirements for admission and application deadlines.

On Monday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the AAPC, 正澳门六合彩官网 will hold a Pre-Law Interest Meeting for students considering pursuing law school, with representatives from New England Law as well as The Princeton Review (who offer both free and paid law school admissions services/tutoring). Interested students should RSVP to jbalboni@curry.edu.
