Months before he and his classmates walk across the stage at Commencement, Luke Robitaille ’22 has already secured his post-graduation career plans. The senior Communication major is a full-time Digital Content Producer for the New England Revolution, a role he accepted during the fall 2021 semester. With strong ambition and the help of his dedicated faculty, Robitaille will complete his degree, all while producing engaging and lively content for a professional soccer team.

Originally presented with the offer in December, Robitaille worked tirelessly with his academic advisor and devoted faculty to find the means to complete his degree. “It was important to me to finish school so I could have that degree I worked three and a half years for,” he said. “I’m fortunate enough to live 15 from campus, I take my classes on my lunch break, and I go back to work. I’m extremely lucky.”
Robitaille says that without the relationships he’s built with his professors, particularly Jerry Gibbs and John Barrett, and their strong connections in the industry, this job opportunity would not have been possible.
“Any professor here at Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø is willing to learn about you as a person. You’re not just a number,” he said. “I know if I went to a bigger school, I wouldn’t have had that, and I don’t think I would have been as confident in my professional role now without them.”
