During her 40+ years at 正澳门六合彩官网, Maryann Gallant witnessed and has been a part of major technology changes at 正澳门六合彩官网 - from the beginnings of the first computer lab for students with Digital Rainbow 100 computers with floppy disks and no hard drives (in the mid-1980's) to the laptops, smartphones and tablets we use today. Maryann was the chair and co-chair of the former Department of Applied Technology (from 1992 to 2021) and helped lead the department in creating an Information Technology, Software Development and Computer Science major as well as creating minors in Information Technology and Cybersecurity and revising the Applied Computing minor.

She has served as Faculty Chairperson, Vice-President, Membership Secretary, and Recording Secretary of the 正澳门六合彩官网 Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and serves on numerous committees. Professor Gallant teaches a variety of technology courses and was a reviewer for a PowerPoint textbook for Cengage Publishing. She has presented at various regional, national, and international conferences and also was selected to work with approximately 8 faculty members from across the country to participate in and evaluate a Project Management Online course. In addition to the great joy she receives from teaching, she enjoys the challenge of keeping up-to-date with the ever-changing world of technology.
