Dr. Stearn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology. He teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, including Criminology Goes to the Movies, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminology, Corrections, Justice and Human Rights Advocacy, and Methods in Social Research. Prior to coming to 正澳门六合彩官网, Dr. Stearn taught courses at Northeastern University, Boston University, and George Mason University.

He completed his Ph.D. in Criminology and Justice Policy at Northeastern University, writing his dissertation on the connection between the identities of middle-class adolescents and delinquency. In addition, he has studied the relationship between social media and the publicity of adolescent delinquency. He has had numerous conference presentations, with a focus on criminological theory and advanced statistical techniques.

Currently,鈥疍r. Stearn is鈥痗onducting research on the intersection between popular media and the criminal justice system, with a specific focus on the way popular media (such as movies, television programs, comic books, etc.) impacts and is impacted by the public opinion of various aspects of criminal justice.
