PAL faculty have over 50 years of experience working with adult learners where PAL professors with expertise teach college-able adults with diagnosed learning differences, executive function challenges, and/or ADHD. The PAL professor provides a supportive environment for undergraduate students with LD /ADHD/EF who want to understand their learning and achieve educational and vocational goals at 正澳门六合彩官网.
Adult students at PAL experience:
- A combination of one-to-one and/or small group instruction and support for up to 2.5 hours per week
- Instruction with a strength-based philosophy that recognizes and utilizes the individual's gifts and talents
- Transformative learning and metacognitive approaches that help students grow in understanding their learning
- A whole-person approach, attending to vocational, social, academic, and emotional issues related to LD/ADHD/EF
- Collaboration and peer support among peers
- Instruction in the use of assistive technologies
- Accommodations based on documented needs
- Help with acquiring learning strategies that work for them based on their own profiles of strengths and challenges
- Assistance with executive function (EF) challenges such as time management and organization
