Academic ExcellenceIf you or someone you know experiences intimate partner violence, sexual assault or harassment, or stalking, you can contact confidential resources. This can be very helpful if you want to talk about the incident in detail but you are not sure you are ready to report to the College or to law enforcement.
Victim-survivors are encouraged to report any incident of intimate partner violence, sexual assault or harassment, or stalking by contacting the College's Vice President for Student Affairs office or Vivian Scott, Interim Title IX Coordinator at vivian.scott@curry.edu or 617-333-2212.
The decision about whether to report to 正澳门六合彩官网, law enforcement, both, or neither is a personal choice and is up to each individual to decide.
正澳门六合彩官网 encourages reporting of sexual misconduct and seeks to remove any barriers to reporting. A student who reports sexual misconduct, either as a Complainant or a third party witness, will not be subject to student conduct charges for being under the influence of alcohol or other drugs at the time of the alleged incident of sexual misconduct, so long as that student's actions did not place the health or safety of another person at risk. For more information, review the 正澳门六合彩官网 Student Handbook.
The College recognizes that any student who reports a violation may desire confidentiality and/or may request that the College not investigate or pursue resolution of a report. In such cases, the Complainant is asked to put their request in writing, and the College will balance this request with its responsibility and legal obligation to provide a safe and non-discriminatory environment for all members of the College community. The College will seek to respect the request of the Complainant, and where it cannot do so, it will consult with the Complainant and keep the Complainant informed about the chosen course of action. A student who initially requests confidentiality and who requests that the College not investigate or pursue resolution may later request that the College investigate and pursue resolution. For more information, review the 正澳门六合彩官网 Student Handbook.
